Saigon Co.op exports goods to the US market

(Chinhphu.vn) - On October 23rd, Saigon Co.op Distribution Company Limited (SCD) and Stc Natural Vina Company Limited delivered Vietnamese goods to the US market.

Following the ceremony, from the event location, Bình Dương Distribution Center - which is also the main warehouse of Saigon Co.op - 2 containers of Co.op Select private label products would be exported to the US market.

 Goods exported to the US are domestically produced and carefully selected by Saigon Co.op from the group of fast-moving consumer goods, imbued with the identity and quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine such as dipping sauce, vermicelli, pho, spices, tea, coffee, and so on, with the total order value of nearly 70,000 USD.

 All of these Vietnamese products would be sold at H-mart supermarkets, which belong to the Hee Chang Group, a renowned Korean retail group with over 30 years of experience in the US market and more than 100 stores across the country. In September 2024, SCD successfully exported 2 containers to Canada, also under the order of the Hee Chang Group.

 In the last quarter of the year, SCD would complete the export of 20 containers to foreign markets. SCD focuses on exporting to the world's largest markets such as the USA, Korea, Japan, Australia, China, and Middle Eastern countries. In 2025, SCD plans to export 120-150 containers, with a projected value of 120 billion VND.

SCD's activities have made positive contributions to Saigon Co.op's export sector. Accordingly, in 2023, Saigon Co.op exported Vietnamese agricultural and seafood products to the Singapore market with a total export value of nearly 90 billion VND.

Mr. Tran Anh Quang, Director of SCD Company, stated: "Through commercial contracts between Saigon Co.op Distribution Company Limited and its partners, including Stc Natural Vina Company Limited, Vietnamese products would have more opportunities to penetrate the world's biggest and most promising markets.

 Saigon Co.op Distribution Company Limited is a subsidiary of Saigon Co.op. The company's function is to import and exclusively distribute nationwide high-end products from the world’s leading corporations nationwide: High-end Parker & Waterman pens from Newell Rubbermaid (UK), GEM products such as Pantene, Head & Shoulders shampoo, and Olay body wash from P&G (US), Topmass nutritional powders from AIDA Company, and Vitaplan milk imported from New Zealand.
