(VTC News) – In collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Saigon Co.op held a small ceremony to give 35 free maxillofacial surgeries and 100 essential gifts to pediatric patients.
Today's donation program is also one of a series of 150 social projects contributing to the community that Saigon Co.op is working on to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Saigon Co.op’s establishment and development.

The children would be screened in the morning of the same day and then go through the surgery by a group of highly skilled doctors from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, after that, bright smiles will return to the children’s faces.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang - Director of Co.opmart Operations Division – shared: “This is the 6th year of implementing this program, the team and I always feel deeply touched and have a special affection for the children, especially those whose innocent faces have yet to be brightened by a full smile.
Following today's event, 35 free maxillofacial surgeries and 100 essential gifts would be provided. Saigon Co.op hopes this effort will be a sharing and an encouragement for the underprivileged families of the children, helping to regain the bright and cheerful smiles on their children’s angelic faces.
In addition, we are planning many activities with a broader and more widespread scale to connect with customers, suppliers, and government agencies, so that we can bring more meaningful programs to the community. We hope to receive more support and companionship from the public with Saigon Co.op and the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology on future projects."

Today's ceremony also marks the 2nd year of our community service programs, "Your Smile - Our Happiness," a joint initiative between Saigon Co.op and the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.
Saigon Co.op in general and Co.opmart in particular hope this program would have more meaningful activities like today’s event, and above all, always receive everyone’s love and support, so that we can bring bright smiles to children across the country.
